5 Reasons Why You Should Relocate to the Seattle area

I have lived in the Seattle area since I was twelve years old. I am so glad that my family chose this beautiful city for us to grow up in and I couldn’t help but decide to continue living in. There were a few other cities for our family to choose from, but we chose Seattle and I wanted to share with you some reasons why you should move to this great and picturesque city.

Reason #1 – Nature and Landscape

Seattle is an exciting urban city surrounded by unmatched natural beauty. We have a variety of landscapes to enjoy:

-Lakes, Puget Sound, and the Pacific Ocean

-Mountains

-Evergreen trees (rain keeps them a lush color)

-Rainforest (a few hours away)

Reason #2 – Strong Economy

It is not a secret that Seattle, Washington has one of the strongest economies in the United States. Here are some of the major employers that keep our economy going strong:

Reason #3 – All Four Seasons!

Our city is probably one of the very few areas in the U.S. that actually has all four full seasons – Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.

  • Spring begins in mid to late March with rains and enriches the landscapes. When Spring is here, you really do feel it in the area – flowers and trees just really come out of the subtle hibernation. If you have a chance to visit the UW Campus, you will witness a row of pink blossoming cherry trees and people flock there for the scenery and beautiful Instagram photos!
  • Summers are so much fun in Seattle. A lot of the people I know plan their vacations just so they can enjoy summers in the city and surrounding areas. The temperatures can get up to 95 degrees for everyone to enjoy the sunshine on the decks, concerts outside and fun on the water, whether it’d be fishing, boating or both!
  • Fall/Autumn is most likely one of the prettiest times to be in Seattle! The season starts around mid to late September and lasts up to November (right into Thanksgiving). Leaves turn the most harmonious colors – burgundy, yellow and sage colors. Of course, sweater weather is one of the favorite seasons. And last but certainly not least is the
  • Winter season. All I can say is…. Christmas. I must say that during Winter, we have had up to two to three days of snow that actually stuck around… which means our winter is a mild one in comparison to other regions of the country. If you want to experience the beauty of all four seasons, you will just have to come to see it for yourself.

Reason #4 – Metropolitan City

Seattle and its economy have attracted some of the best talents from across the globe. Major employers recruit and relocate lots of families of different nationalities, cultures, and languages to our region. I was at a park earlier this year and I heard at least eight different languages spoken such as Arabic, Hindi, Farsi, Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, Portuguese just to name a few. Cultures enrich our city with new relationships, food, and traditions. It definitely is a melting pot!

Reason #5 – Coffee

Here is the thing – I love coffee. Seattle loves coffee. Not only was Starbucks born in Seattle, but we have so many other coffee shops to chose from. Here are some of my favorites:

  1. Zoka Coffee
  2. Caffe Rococo
  3. Caffe Vita
  4. Caffe Ladro
  5. Cafe Con Todo
  6. Victrola
  7. Stumptown Coffee Roasters

Come to Seattle and discover beauty in nature, find your perfect career and enjoy life in our beautiful city!
